Mcq, Alexander Mcqueen’s younger line has plans for a flagship store and runway show during london fashion week for the first time.
The Mcqueen diffusion line’s catwalk show of their autumn/winter 2012-13 collection will serve as a preview for the label’s debut store opening later in the year, The store which will carry Menswear, Womenswear and accessories has been rumored to be a Georgian townhouse in London’s exclusive Mayfair area.
Alexander Mqcueen who was known as Lee to friends – committed suicide in February 2010 but his successor Sarah Burton recently revealed the company still runs as if he were alive.
She explained: “Lee used to always say that you have to know all the rules to be able to break them.

Fashion Icon Naomi Campbell has been named Editor at large of Interview magazines Russian and German editions. The supermodel has written an introduction to the December issue of the Russian title which will hit newsstands this month.
Naomi is no stranger to Moscow having moved there to be with her beau Vladislav Doronin, former Vogue editor and chief Aliona Doletskaya will serve as editor-in-chief of both with the Russian edition being launched in November and the German edition at the beginning of 2012 the magazine will include a Q&A article by Naomi.

With the recent success of the Versace collection Rumours have surfaced that H&M may have set their sights on another Designer collaboration with Tom Ford. H&M’s creative adviser Margareta van den Bosch tells Bloomberg Businessweek that Ford is “a very interesting name,” adding, “I can say, I wouldn’t mind [collaborating with him].” This goes without saying, though, as Ford’s ability to generate hype is basically impossible to overstate.
